The Navajo Nation San Juan River Farm Board (NNSJRFB) develops local capacity for the proper & full protection, conversation, management, sustainable & economic use and development of local farmland & irrigation water systems on the Navajo Nation.
We collaborate with private entities, organizations, state and federal agencies, farmers and farming communities to ensure proper operation, maintenance, rehabilitation and improvement of local irrigation.
We also coordinate adequate research, education, and training in all aspects of agricultural production, irrigation management, marketing and financial management, and other areas within Navajo Nation. Learn more.

The 2018 Farm Bill (pdf) directed USDA to establish a national regulatory framework for hemp production in the United States. USDA established the U.S. Domestic Hemp Production Program through an interim final rule. This rule outlines provisions for the USDA to approve plans submitted by States and Indian Tribes for the domestic production of hemp.
